Born and raised in İstanbul, Hilâl Baymiş has been captivated by design her entire life, developing a sharp eye for technical details from an early age. Her journey led her to Rome, where she studied Disegno del Prodotto at Sapienza Università di Roma. This rigorous European design education deeply shaped her understanding of form, proportion, and timeless aesthetics, allowing her to masterfully blend classical sensibilities with modern innovation.
Her time in the Eternal City, combined with her nature as an adventurous traveler, inspired her to bring her own jewelry brand to life. Drawing inspiration from the treasures and cultural narratives she encounters around the world, Hilâl reimagines them within contemporary jewelry pieces that bridge cultures, mythology, and nature. She founded BAYMİŞ to show the world that jewelry is not merely an aesthetic statement, but a profound artistic expression.
"I am always curious; that curiosity inside me never dies, never stops, and never lets me sleep," Hilâl says.
"I often wake up in the middle of the night because of images flashing through my mind. I feel an absolute urgency to design it, research it, and internalize the idea. I must blend that raw dream with my creativity and structural designer knowledge. Otherwise, I feel incomplete."
Life itself acts as her primary muse. She observes the world intensely, finding beauty in the mundane whether it is an ancient mythological tale, a daily routine, a ballet performance, or a songwriter’s journey. These observations solidify into concepts that she refines through what she calls "the artistic suffering."
For Hilâl, designing is a intense process of meticulously detailing each piece and embedding it with its own story. As both a brand founder and a design specialist, her dual experience allows her to approach every creation with a deep commitment to design integrity, functionality, and flawless execution. She designs for ambitious, bright, and sophisticated women, hoping they will see their own powerful reflection through her work.

Our mission is to remind women of the feminine, transformative, and potent power that lies within them.
